How Packémon works

Packs, odds, where the cards come from, and what is live today versus planned.

Overview

Packémon is a pack-opening site on Solana. You buy a pack with the project's token, and we buy you the matching Collector Crypt gacha pack: one real graded Pokémon slab from their vault, picked by their machine with the odds shown below.

Each card is an MPL Core NFT backed by a physical slab in Collector Crypt's vault. After the reveal you either keep it (and can have the slab shipped to you) or sell it back to Collector Crypt for 85–93% of its insured value, in USDC.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pay

Your wallet sends 115% of the pack's USD price in tokens to the treasury, at the live Jupiter token price quoted right before you pay. Payments up to 5% short are accepted to absorb price movement; anything shorter is refunded.

  2. 2

    Verify

The server loads your transaction, checks it succeeded and that the treasury's token balance rose by at least the required amount. The paying wallet becomes the pack's owner. Each transaction can open exactly one pack.

  3. 3

    Sell & burn

Enough of your tokens are sold for USDC through Jupiter to cover the pack price plus slippage, and the rest (~10%) are burned.

  4. 4

    Buy & open

The treasury buys the matching Collector Crypt gacha pack with that USDC and opens it. Their machine rolls your tier and picks your card with a VRF.

  5. 5

    Reveal

The slab photo, tier and value are shown, with a link to Collector Crypt's proof. The card sits in the treasury until you choose.

  6. 6

    Keep or sell

Sign a message with your wallet to confirm. Keep transfers the NFT to you. Sell has Collector Crypt buy it back and pay you USDC directly.

Packs & odds

Live mainnet odds from Collector Crypt. Card value is the slab's insured value, and average value is Collector Crypt's own expected value for that machine.

Keeping & shipping

Choose Keep and sign the confirmation message. The card's MPL Core NFT is transferred from the treasury to your wallet. It is now yours, independent of Packémon.

To get the physical slab, open the card on Collector Crypt (the reveal links straight to it) and redeem it. Collector Crypt handles shipping from their vault; their redemption terms and any fees apply. You can also hold the NFT, or list it on Collector Crypt yourself.

Selling back

Choose Sell and sign the confirmation message. Collector Crypt buys the card back for 85–93% of its insured value (the rate is shown per pack), paid in USDC straight to your wallet.

Sell-back is available for 72 hours after the pull. After that, keep the card and list it on Collector Crypt yourself if you want to sell.

The token & burn

Packs are paid in the project's token, at 115% of the pack's USD price. When you rip, enough tokens are sold for USDC through Jupiter to buy the Collector Crypt pack (plus a little slippage headroom), and the rest, about 10%, is burned.

Any USDC left over after slippage stays in the treasury and covers swaps that come up a little short. Every sale, burn and purchase is an on-chain transaction from the treasury address.

BurnLive
About 10% of every token paid for a pack is burned on-chain, so the total supply shrinks with every rip.

Fairness & transparency

TodayLive
We don't pick your card. Each rip buys one Collector Crypt gacha pack, and their machine rolls the tier and picks the card using a verifiable random function (VRF). The odds used for your pack are committed before the roll, and every reveal links to Collector Crypt's proof for that pull.

  • One payment, one card. A transaction signature can open one pack. Concurrent attempts on the same payment are rejected.
  • No re-rolls. Retrying a failed pack reopens the same Collector Crypt pack, which always returns the same card.
  • On-chain trail. Your payment, the swap, the burn, the pack purchase, the transfer or USDC payout are all Solana transactions you can look up.

Getting started

  1. 1

    Install Phantom

Phantom is the only supported wallet. Fund it with a little SOL for fees.

  2. 2

    Connect

Click Connect on the home page and approve the connection.

  3. 3

    Get the token

Buy the token on Jupiter. Each pack shows its price in tokens at the live price.

  4. 4

    Rip a pack

Pick a pack, approve the token transfer in Phantom and watch the reveal.

  5. 5

    Keep or sell

Approve the signature request for your choice. Keep sends the NFT to your wallet; sell sends USDC.

FAQ

Are the cards real?

Yes. Every card is a graded slab held in Collector Crypt's vault. The NFT you receive is the on-chain claim to that physical slab.

Who picks my card?

Collector Crypt's gacha machine, not us. It rolls the tier with the odds above and picks the card with a verifiable random function. Every reveal links to the proof.

My pack failed after I paid. Did I lose my tokens?

No. The payment is recorded against its transaction. The app lists it under "Paid packs waiting to open" with Retry and Refund buttons. Retrying can only ever produce one card; Refund returns the USDC your tokens sold for (or the tokens themselves if they weren't sold yet).

Can someone else keep or sell my card?

No. Payment transactions are public, so keep and sell both require a message signed by the wallet that paid for the pack.

I closed the tab during the reveal. Is the card gone?

No. Cards you haven't kept or sold yet show up again under your wallet when you reconnect.

Can I change my mind after choosing?

No. Keep or sell is locked the moment you choose, before any transfer runs, so a choice is final and can't be applied twice.

Which wallets are supported?

Phantom only, for now.

Is the token price live?

Yes. Pack prices are set in USD and converted to tokens at the live Jupiter price, re-quoted right before you pay. If the price drops more than 5% between the quote and the check, your tokens are refunded automatically.

Risks & disclaimer

  • Opening packs is a game of chance. Most pulls are worth less than the pack price; expected value is an average, not a promise.
  • Card prices, the token price and the sell-back value can all change. The token can lose most or all of its value.
  • Card selection, odds, inventory and sell-backs are run by Collector Crypt. If their machines are paused or empty, packs can't be opened until they're back (paid packs can be refunded).
  • Physical custody, grading and shipping are handled by Collector Crypt and the grading companies, under their terms.
  • The Solana network, RPC providers, marketplaces and wallets can fail.
  • Nothing here is financial advice. Check that participating is legal where you live.
